The company is committed to complying with legal requirements and to the continuous improvement of its systems and performance. Objectives are set and monitored in order to drive ongoing development and improvement.
As part of its commitment to quality, Yamato’s management system – which previously complied with the standards for ISO9001:2008 – has been re-assessed by TUV Nord against the requirements of ISO 9001:2015
Employing 27 members of staff in the UK, Yamato is principally involved in the industrial process sector specialising in the food and manufacturing industries.
ISO9001:2015 is designed to ensure that Yamato meets the needs of its customers and other stakeholders, while at the same time meeting all the statutory and regularity compliance requirements relating to automatic weighing machines and food processing.
A stringent independent audit in June confirmed that the management system conforms with the requirements of the audit standard. The assessment evaluated the scope of Yamato’s system, including processes and equipment, internal and external issues, interested parties and associated risks and opportunities that might affect the outcome of the management system.
The assessment also confirmed that Yamato has effectively implemented a well-planned management system to achieve its objectives and highlighted the capabilities of the management system to ensure consistent compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory, contractual and other obligatory requirements.
Sales enquiries, quotations and orders are all effectively managed via a process sequence using SAP ERP/CRM software. Machinery assembly, installation, service and repair are also carefully managed. In addition, infrastructure and work environment requirements have been addressed satisfactorily and workshop areas are kept clean and tidy.
