The health of Yamato’s customers, employees and partners remains our primary concern in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the announcement on a national lockdown in the UK from 4th January, we are taking appropriate steps in line with recommendations from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and government guidelines to ensure the safety of all our customers and staff.
We continue to ask all customers and suppliers only to attend our premises if business critical or making a delivery/collection. If you prefer, we will set up video conferencing calls where appropriate to reduce contact.
To protect our teams whilst also safeguarding supply to our customers, we have already implemented new working practices and plans. As a result, our office staff will be working from home for the foreseeable future as the lockdown continues.
However, in line with government guidance for manufacturers, our engineers will still be available to provide support as required. Any required visits to your site will be done in a COVID-secure manner. We also have a dedicated support desk running to answer any queries or solve any issues you may be having. You can call this desk on 0113 322 1546 (extension 221).
Our spare parts will also continue to be despatched, though please allow for extra time for delivery.
We are encouraging everyone to stay up to date with the government’s latest advice on how to avoid catching or spreading the virus, which is available on the NHS website.
We will issue updates to our working practices as and when they change.
