Ray Bruen joined Yamato as Head of Sales and Commercial Operations in 2012 from The Plastek Group – one of the industry leaders in the design and manufacture of consumer packaging and personal care products. Previously Ray held the position of European Sales and Marketing Manager at Portola Packaging UK, as well as senior positions at Bapco Closures and Tetra Pak where he worked as a Regional Key Account Manager for over 20 years.
Ray is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing teams at Yamato and brings with him a wealth of valuable business development experience complemented by a background in engineering. This unique two-sided perspective will help drive the company forward and ensure its products and services meet the needs and future expectations of our customers.
Ian Aitchinson, having worked at Yamato for over 20 years, has been promoted to the new role of Head of Technical Operations. During his time at Yamato, he has worked as a Technical Application Manager and Service Manager, ensuring that all new machinery is implemented correctly and performing to customers’ expectations.
Working closely with the Commercial Director, Ian is responsible for improving the overall service levels of the company which is at the heart of Yamato’s business.
Martyn Hodgson holds the position of Financial Consultant after working for the business on a consultancy basis since October 2011. Martyn is responsible for overseeing all finance issues affecting the company including the development of the company’s first office in the Middle East.
